As the Founder and Managing Director of CBS Builders, Jim Athos has guided the business since 2009 with a clear and enduring philosophy: build with integrity, communicate openly and always do things the right way. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Jim has shaped CBS Builders into a trusted specialist in remedial, refurbishment and rescue projects, known for disciplined governance, senior involvement and engineering-backed delivery.

Jim oversees all major projects, ensuring clients receive direct access to experienced leadership and decisions that are timely, practical and aligned with long-term outcomes. His commitment to transparency and unity forms the foundation of CBS Builders’ culture, and is reflected in the company’s strong systems, mature processes and recognised delivery capability, including its 4.5 Gold Star rating under the iCIRT framework.

Alongside leading the business, Jim has served as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney, sharing his industry knowledge and mentoring future construction professionals.
